The annual MTV Asia Awards is the Asian equivalent of the United States' MTV Video Music Awards and Europe's MTV Europe Music Awards.

MTV Asia Awards launched in 2002 in Singapore, the event has gained a loyal following among young people aged 15 to 34 years old. Previously hosted by Ronan Keating and Mandy Moore (2002), Shaggy and Coco Lee (2003), Vanness Wu and Michelle Branch Alicia Keys (2005), the phenomenal show brings together a unique blend of East and West, featuring the largest gathering of international and local talent ever seen in the region.
